Hello January

β€œI will enter His gates with thanksgiving in my heart, I will enter His courts with praise. I will say this is the day that the Lord has made, I will rejoice for He has made me glad.”

A new year has began (according to the Gregorian calendar πŸ˜‰), some celebrate new year in September, some in November and some in February.
But there is something about a new year that brings shift and change. It’s like opening a new packet of stationary. Everything is clean and fresh or crispy clean.
A new year brings about new hope, the desire of new things and new possibilities.

The last few days were not easy for me, I found myself extremely sad and heavy hearted. Remembering all that was lost; the difficulties, the challenges and the immense heart ache.
There were times last year that I allowed myself to float along … to drift away with the waves of emotion and pain.
It hurt yes… and I wanted to make a home in that and remain there.

The lesson I learnt in that is simply this:
I am responsible for my life. I can either choose to remain in that state and feel meh and numb or I can acknowledge the pain, explore it and transform it into something else.
Now mind you, simply knowing this does not make it easy to implement 🀣.

However knowledge is knowing that a tomato is a fruit so it’s good to be knowledgeable about things.

But! Wisdom is knowing not to put the tomato in a fruit salad πŸ˜†.
It will take time but we have to be intentional, we can either choose to remain or choose to grow.
Go for the latter.
May this year be one where being intentional is woven into every aspect: finances, relationships, self reflection, and decisions.

This year will be as good as you decide to make it.
The decisions that you make will impact the life that you will have.

Choose life.
Choose joy.
Choose love.

β€œEnter his gates with thanksgiving;
go into his courts with praise.
Give thanks to him and praise his name.”

-Psalm 100:4-

Ps. My cat is just black she is not a witch I beg 🀣.
